At Service Dog Specialist we only train psychiatric Service dogs. We only train Cavalier King Charles Spaniels for this type of service dog. We feel Cavaliers are the best breed for this type of training. Cavaliers are born with the instinct to bond with humans. This instinct makes them the perfect match for this type of training
health testing
All of our dogs are tested O.F.A. Heart Clear. All males are tested clear for curly coat and dry eye syndrome. They are also tested clear of episodic falling. Your new service dog will go home with a recent O.F.A. Heart check and a very thorough Health check. We use our own stud dogs that we have here for you to meet when you come to get your new service dog .
